Surrey Safe Mobility Plan

Surrey is developing a Safe Mobility Plan because road safety is a critical element of its vision of transportation working for everyone.

The goal of the plan is to move towards a future with zero traffic fatalities and injuries in Surrey.

Surrey Sustainability Charter

The Sustainability Charter, created in 2008 and updated in 2016, is an ambitious 40-year vision for sustainability in Surrey.

It’s how Surrey is planning to become a thriving, green, inclusive city. The Charter guides all City decisions and outlines what Surrey wants for its community as a whole.

Surrey Transportation Strategic Plan

The Transportation Strategic Plan is Surrey’s overarching framework for how the city will support a balanced transportation system that improves travel to, from, and within Surrey.

The plan has companion plans on walking, cycling, and safe mobility, which integrate with other policy areas on the environment, health and safety, economic well-being, and land development.

Vancouver Digital Strategy

Vancouver’s Digital Strategy, started in 2013 and extending to 2022 and beyond, enhances digital connections among all city stakeholders and advances the city’s digital maturity through projects in connectivity, access to data, and interoperability.

These projects increase economic opportunities, improve services, and lay the foundation to transform Vancouver into a smart city.

Vancouver Greenest City Action Plan

The Greenest City Action Plan outlines 10 goal areas and 15 measurable targets to guide Vancouver toward becoming the greenest city in the world by 2020.

The plan was created in 2011 and by 2015, Vancouver completed 80% of the plan’s high priority actions. For 2016 to 2020, the City added 50 new actions to move closer to the plan’s targets. As well, Vancouver created the Renewable City Strategy to be fully powered by renewable energy by 2050.

 

Vancouver Healthy City Strategy

The Healthy City Strategy was created in 2014 with 13 goals for the well-being of Vancouver and its people, including ambitious targets to reach by 2025.

The strategy is guided by a vision of A Healthy City for All: a city where together we are creating and continually improving the conditions that enable all of us to enjoy the highest level of health and well-being possible.

Vancouver Transportation 2040 Plan

Transportation 2040 is a long-term strategic vision for to help guide Vancouver’s transportation and land-use decisions, and public investments.

In addition to key bridge, street, and arterial upgrades, its keystones include mobility pricing, active transportation education, and school active travel planning.
